I think you did a great job. And by mounting it behind the drivers seat it shouldn't bother you as much. Out of sight by the driver, out of mind.

Thank you. Yea, when I'm driving it doesn't bother me at all! Funny thing is the young people who have never seen a spare tire mounted in a truck bed say, "Why you carrying a tire around with you". The old guys say " That looks cool, just like the old days". Me, I'm kind of in between. Yea it looks like I'm delivering a tire to someone, but who cares!
My wife now calls it "the farm truck".
