Thanks guys! She is so tiny. She was only 5LB 10OZ at birth.

I made it into the shop for the first time since Daphne was born. I have filled in the radius in the rear corner of the passenger rocker/cab corner. I then started to fill the leading edge of the rocker as it was much to rounded for my liking. Only a small piece of wire was needed to match the door to the rocker near the front.

This afternoon I was planning to finish up welding the edge of the passenger rocker but that turned out to be a bust. I got all set up, turned on the welder and went to make a tack.....out of gas. Oh well, found something else to do for the afternoon. I cleaned up the upper windsheild area and got some marglass over the seams I welded shut. While I was there, I also filled in the spot welds under the lip of the roof edge. Once that was done, I tried yet another door I scored off of my uncle and bam! We have a winner. after a few more adjustments, I will be happy with this door as a start. The body lines are off very slightly but at least the upper window frame has nice gaps. I can always adjust the body lines with filler.

Congratulations on the newborn! Truck is looking awesome. I am jealous of the body/welding work. That's probably my weakest area unfortunately. I'll stay tuned and see if I pick up a few tips from you.

Thanks man. It's been pretty cool being a dad so far. The biggest thing I can recommend is practice when it comes to welding. Stay tuned and you see alot of body work Thanks for the compliments on the truck as well.

Progress continues on the passenger side. I got the rest of the rocker edge welded up and smoothed off. I also got a good coat of marglass laid down on the outside of the rocker. Should be done with welding on the cab now for a while so hopefully I'll be laying down some regular bondo soon.

First of all, congratulations on the arrival of little Daphne, she is so precious!

You really had a lot to deal with on this truck, and I thought the rust issues on my truck were bad... You are doing a spectacular job! I still have a rust area up under the dash where the cowl inlet rusted through. That will be a challenge to fabricate the replacement patches and get them welded in. Once that is done, I can epoxy prime the cab interior and apply the Lizard Skin.

Have you given any thought to applying any sound deadening/thermal barrier? My goal is to do such a good job rust proofing my truck that it can be a daily driver without the worry of it rusting out again.

Again congrats on the beautiful baby girl and the work you have done on your truck!

Thank you for all the compliments. I am planning to use something like a raptor liner on the under side of the cab. On the inside, I'm planning to use something like a kilmat or equivalent. I'm hoping that will be sufficient to get fairly decent sound deadening. I also plan to use a piece of kilmat underneath the factory headliner.

You'll like the Raptor Liner, goes on easy and it is tough as nails.

I'm not decided on that either. I was leaning more towards just doing the underside but not too sure. Does anyone think it would be beneficial to do both sides?
