Friday I had a guy offer me 10k for my blazer even after I told him it wasn't for sale. I've had several offers in the past 2 years, but I know I would be bummed out and regret it if I sold it.

I never will part with mine either. It would kinda suck to have to do everything I've done over again on another blazer. Would be kice to have one that stated a lot cleaner though with all the interior there and not gutted out like mine was.

I like your Blazer. I just got a 72 Jimmy about a month ago and have been dreading tearing into the rust issues. Someone added custom side tanks and cut the rocker boxes out. Really considering making some temporary braces on mine since the top is missing and these are notorious for flexing.
Did you do anything special to the inside of the rocker boxes? I've been considering putting some chassis-saver or por-15 to the inside before welding and later going back over it and coating everything. |

It would last longer if you coat it now. Once you decide to weld on it it will Melt that stuff out with the heat. But in the mean time it will hold back the rust until you seal it back up. You will need to repāir the rocker boxes or make a support so that your a pillar doesn't sag into your doors. That or put in a six point rollcage. That will hold everything in place for good if the floors are good. Tie the cage into the frame. That's my plan eventually.

I've been battling with the idea of the roll cage for some time now. I like/hate rollcages, but will probably end up putting one in to keep everything square.
I second that, lets see the interior! |

I finally have tunes in my blazer after owning it for over 10 years. I bout a reproduction antenna from LMC and a stereo and speakers from classic auto sound. It has a i phone attachment that goes into my glove box and I'm happy with the way it works. Best of all I didn't have to cut my dash for the stereo to fit and I bout the kick panel speakers that fit really nice.
