Metal work / gettin ready for paint

I wouldn't call it a build, cause I'm not taking it down to the frame but I thought I would post some pics of my progress. Name: Feb 2009 029.jpg

What in the world is all that white stuff all around your house? I had shorts and a t shirt on all day long today and I was sweating my ass off cleaning out my garage today. And I spent all last thurs on the beach fishing. I love Texas winters!

Re: Metal work / gettin ready for paint

juicer25, looks good! On your 3rd and final pic, what patch panel is on the floor where the seat was. Not the rocker, or the side floor piece, but the one that looks three sided? Does that go behind the rocker box? Where did you get it? Thanx

Re: Metal work / gettin ready for paint

Most of the panels I purchased from LMC, and some of them from JC Whitney. I can't recall where I purchased that one from. I will let you all know how they fit when they get welded into place. With any luck by next week.

Good looking project - I'd definitely classify that as a build regardless of whether it's down the the frame - you've got quite a project going. Keep us posted.

Re: Metal work / gettin ready for paint

Good eyes! That is a 67 Firebird and corvair. The shop isn't mine and the guy who is helping me with mine is also working on a couple other projects. Hopefully I will have the metalwork completed before too long. I've had the blazer for six years now, but haven't been able to enjoy it much lately.

Looks great. So you did the Torsion boxes, then floor, then inner and finally outer rockers? I will need to do the same on mine shortly.

I finally finished up with the Rockers, with some help. It's nice to not have air conditioning coming up from the floor!
