Re: Big Block Build is what I'm calling mine. New pics inside

Just needed to add these photo's to my thread. At least I finally got it painted. Now all I have to do to put it back together is tow in home and change the output shaft on the tranny. I am putting the trans that was in my 4x4.

Re: Big Block Build is what I'm calling mine. New pics inside

I got the truck home, installed the new porportioning valve and gas pedal before I set the engine back in. Had a little helper too. I was trying to get him down to help me with the gas pedal only because one person had to be on the inside and one on the outside. He was watching tv and would not move so I unhooked the cable and poof no tv. He came down and helped me with that and then he just wanted to do more. Sometimes you just have to get them away from the damn electronics sometimes.

Re: Big Block Build is what I'm calling mine. New pics inside

Just thought I would add a few more pics to my thread. I picked up a power steering hose and played around with differnt seals for the innner fender to cab, and a shot of what it looks like without the battery next to the radiator.

Great job, really looking nice !!!!! What size power brake booster did you use, just wondering about the clearance with a big block and did you use one of Captains adapters for it.

It came out of a 79 Chevy/GMC Truck. Had to modify the brake rod of course.

E Bay. It is just a 3 row Champion. I since replaced that one with a 4 Row. More capacity for the BB.

I got one from E-bay but a Worley Auto. It was way too big and they didn't have one to fit. I'll look at Champion and locally. I have a 350 SBC and a 700R4 on the hook ready to install.

Re: Big Block Build is what I'm calling mine. New pics inside

Here is an updated picture of the engine compartment. It dosn't look like much but I put a few more lines on. I am thinking I might want to redo the brake lines at some point, I was just getting tired of trying to bend some new ones so I painted some that I found laying around my space. They are basically stock bent for later chevy and they kinda fit. Then there is the spagetti to deal with under my dash.. EZ Wiring harness. 21 circuts.

Re: Big Block Build is what I'm calling mine. New pics inside

I put the hood back on. Now I just have to get all the wires buttoned up and I can take it for a spin. I did fire it up for a milla sec on starting fluid so now I need to get my fuel line hooked up.
