Small update:
Installed the PB hood hinges today.
Also installed the Wilwood master cylinder so I can run my remaining two brake lines.
Also removed the old door gaskets and installed a set of GMCPauls "push-on style" door gaskets.
These are really nice!
I recommend them.

Started to installed my Lokar throttle cable to the 71-72 gas pedal assembly.
I need to machine a piece, to make the connection at the gas pedal.

I'll take pics when I have more to show.

I would call it Bronze.
The "Copper Poly" name came from a DuPont color chip page from 1970.

Strange, I get confused easily.

Look at these pages for 71'. Only "copper poly" shown (and has an * = only 71') - but no bronze, med. bronze or bronze metallic. Why would my SPID say anything bronze? lol
The webpage itself mentions "dark bronze poly" above, but it isn't on the spec sheets.
Maybe it's a "special equipment color"??

I was just as confused.
The "4522" Bronze on the glovebox door, goes with the *522 listed next to the copper poly name on the DuPont page.

Cool. So the exterior matched your interior nice? I'll have to remember "copper poly" and not bronze. So the manuf. decided to name it differently on the printed SPID. I'm guessing nobody has a SPID that says "copper poly".

The color matched the truck nicely.
I have painted the heater delete plate and the radio delete plate with the new paint.
So we'll see how it looks.
I took the buffer to the dash to make the 40 year old paint shine a little,... but the paint so thin,... it wants to burn thru to primer.

I needed to finish my Lokar gas pedal cable install.
Since I have no welding skills I fabbed up a cable adapter for the Lokar cable.
This will connect to the 71-72 pedal assembly that I installed with Rokcrln's LFD Gas Pedal Adapter.

It worked great,... but I found out the stock 71-72 plastic gas pedal bushing is wore out.
Seems like there is always something I need to order,... no matter how well I plan ahead.
Finished the door gasket install.
Spent the rest of the night screwing with my shop air compressor.
The check valve is bad,... so I need to order that now.
(I finally start doing something and the air compressor craps out)

Keith I have a question. Your wilwood master cylinder does not have a booster. Many of the ones if seen don't. Are the manual or power brakes? I've always wondered that.

Manual disc.
I think it cleans up the firewall.
My red '69 has manual disc and it does just fine.
Most of the plain (low optioned) base trucks in '71 and '72 (factory disc brake trucks),... did not have a booster from the factory.

Keith....can you share with me what these items are and where you found them...I like that alot!!!...did ya use Lokar universal cable??

I have the plain black universal Lokar cable.
The adapter I machined at work.
A 5/16"x 5/8" bolt works perfect in the gas pedal hole.

Since I had no way to weld a loop to it,... so I machined that adapter at work from some 5/8" round stock.
I drilled a 3/16" hole in it to accept the pin from the Lokar adapter.

Some people heat and twist the oem gas pedal rod.
(or cut and reweld the end 90 degrees from original)
Mine was already blasted and painted,... so I had to do something else.

ok...got ya....thanks for the info....I have a pedal assembly that I was gonna have cut and reweld, but thought if this was easy enough and materials could be found at the local hardware store without having to cut, then I'd go that route instead

I got home late tonight and found the UPS truck had been here.
I got my "sandlewood" dash pad from Brothers Truck Parts.
This is one of the "Made in the U.S.A." dash pads.
The quality is definitely better than the other aftermarket dash pads I have had,... but there were a few "finished" areas on the upper and lower edges that I didn't like too much.
Not terrible,... but just sloppy.
(I guess these are the areas of the dash pad, that are trimmed off after they come out of the mold?)

I'm being too picky,... so I just went ahead and installed it.
I gotta keep plowing forward,...

I think I can see the "lower" part you don't like. Above the cluster and near the radio? If it were me, I'd send it back and get a replacement.

I think what you are seeing,... is the recessed holes for the lower screws.
I may call Brothers and ask them about it.
I'm sure they have no answers.
They just sell them.
I doubt that they manufacture them.
