Re: IT's TIME! Agent Orange under the knife... Merry Xmas

So moving right along with this build. Things are starting to finally come together. One snag right now, brand new torque convertor that came with my transmission, which I bought from Monster Transmission, was bad!! Some of the welds where leaking. So not cool. So I called them, ask to see how long to fix and so on. Can take up to three weeks. Not to mention that i have to pay to ship the damn thing back. It's $80 to ship back. Geez!! Mind you, this was never even used nor has the engine or anything been started yet. Horrible.

Sorry for the rant. LOL Anyways, I sent it back and they are going to be sending me a new one. Wont get that one probably for another couple of weeks. This one will be for sale if anyone wants it. 2500 stall for a 4l80e

Pick of the bad converter

So, I decided I am going to upgrade to a custom built converter from Circle D. This piece is beautiful. Really nice piece. Specs are, billet aluminum 3000-3200 stall. Should work really well with my cam and be very streetable.

Thanks, the wheels came out really good.

I noticed that you are running the Toyo Proxies as your tires. How do you like them. I am about to purchase the same ones.

I just have a rolling chassis right now so I haven't been able to try them out but I can tell you they look awesome with a nice tread design and from everything I have read they have great reviews. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Got the Vintage Air vents cut in and mounted. Also did a little fab work to mount the control panel within the old c10 vent controls. Almost looks stock. Almost. LOl

Finished up wiring the remote battery terminals located right above where the remote battery will be located under the bed. Still need to clean it up a bit but pretty much wired

Thanks. The cluster came out nice. If I would have to do this particular one again, I would change the layout a bit.

Yeah, I can't wait to see how it is going to look. Should have them mounted and on towards the end of the week. Hopefully

Yeah, it was a very quick blurp to see if it would turn over. Right away it fired. Pretty excited now. It's on the fast track. Hopefully within two weeks it will be on the road.
