Re: my 84 swb by wcdfab
my plans are constantly changing. But as of right now, Im going to rebuild to motor. not for horse power or anything, basically to clean it. Paint everything under the hood and smooth the firewall. re-paint the frame gloss black. I was thinking of painting the block like a chocolate brown color to contrast the truck color a little bit. I also am going to pull the dash pad out, foam fill the vents that are on top close to the windows for the defrost and re-wrap it with some fresh tweed to clean up that area, those little vents are ugly. the truck also needs to transmission rebuilt, So ill do that while the engine is out. oh, And I want to do a wire tuck too. those are my summer goals.

Re: my 84 swb by wcdfab
Hey dudes, been a while since anything has been done to my truck, but a really good friend on mine Cameron, at Arizona Auto Works has been hooking me up with some repairs and customizing to my dash pad. I thought I would share the progress pictures He just sent to me. I had two cracks running the full length front to back of the dash, and the dash speaker area was falling apart, and since my truck is a/c delete, I had him shave the defroster vents too, after this thing gets wrapped It should be awesome!!
So, thats the bondo stage, all the repairs were done with fiberglass, and then the bondo layer to smooth everthing out, next will be a fresh wrap in black tweed to match the rest of the interior, with custom stiching on the edges to help wrap around the gauges area.

Re: my 84 swb by wcdfab
When I first showed up, I wasn't sure if I should still show, but it was a benefit for a little girl that needed surgery for something.. and believe it or not, the atmosphere was very welcoming. It ended up being one of the funnest shows I have been too.

Re: my 84 swb by wcdfab
well, Finally got my dash re-done, thanks to my friend Cameron at Arizona Auto Works for the hook up on everything. One of his dudes Tim killed it with the fiberglass and bondo repairs. Im so stoked with this small yet awesome mod. check it out!!
here is a picture of dash pad before the repairs, notice 3 different cracks under the tweed, plus those ugly as hell defroster vents.. no bueno. here is a few shots of the fiberglass and bondo filler stage. so after all the work Tim did, the dash was wrapped and it came out killer.. It cleaned up the interior so much, thanks to all the dudes at Arizona Auto Works. its so awesome!!
