Nice Truck! Wish I could do a frame-off on mine, but I have neither the time or the money

Re: Calling all high school 67-72 owners!

I am 15 years old, I dont have my drivers licens yet, I am planing on driveing both of these trucks all throught high school. My dad bought the red and white 68 when i was 12. It was all origional, 6 cylender, 3 speed, no air, radio delete truck. We have put a tuned port 350 V8 with 700R4 automatic, air ride suspension, torque thrust wheels, hidden filler cap, and factory air condition.

My current project, I traded some work for it, it was origionaly a 2wd GMC, I am makeing it into a 69-70
4wd chevy, i am useing all of the 4wd parts out of an 86 chevy truck, planing on black on black, either an ls engine or the tuned port out of the red truck.

check out my build thread on the 4x4

even if you've done it before, its never fun crossing a flooded bridge
It's interesting in a lowered 2wd truck. Though, my problem isn't ride height, it's my plug wires. It doesn't take much water to make the truck missfire. Gotta water proof things better. I wouldn't be surprised if headers and the plug wires with that came with my motor had anything to do with it. I'm sure it can plow threw a foot of standing water at low speeds with everything properly water proofed.

The problem wasn't the bridge, it was the road in front of the bridge

is that the one that the trans is dead, and 2wd open diff is the best thing to go wheeling in. Don't forget to bring a shovel, chains and a charged phone.
