Re: 4X4 Action Pix
Remember that ad that said "Dont hate me cuz' I'm beautiful"?? Well dont worry I'm not claiming to be beautiful, but, wheelin' conditions this last weekend were the best ever!!! Sunday I found 6" of new but melting snow in the rain and WOW! was it fun. I took lots & lots of pix!! Easily the most fun I've had at the off-road park.

Re: 4X4 Action Pix
I could climb almost anything, but it was weird. I would have good wheel speed but it took a while to get thru the snow and the top layers of dirt before you could advance. Lots of great sideways powerslides and long slow climbs!!

Re: 4X4 Action Pix
I work retail and thus, Saturdays. That makes Sun/Mon. my weekend. Fortunatly my best friend Jordan is a bartender and has Mondays off too.
It rained (record totals) all day & night Sun/Mon. So I had to go back out to the park. Last edited by johnnywagon; 12-06-2007 at 01:18 PM. |

Re: 4X4 Action Pix
I love what the heavy rain does to the park. Lots of new temporary "creeks" and mini-waterfalls and my favorite, new gullies to drive thru.

Re: 4X4 Action Pix
So I'm lolly-gagging along and not paying attention when BAM! I broke through the ice that I didnt even know I was on. Of course I floored it hoping to power through but it stopped me like I hit a wall. It hit so hard and make such strange noises I thought I blew a tire and broke something.
But everything was fine and she just backed right out. |

Re: 4X4 Action Pix
So for those of you who are a little jealous of my frequent 4x4 trips and maybe a bit irritated w the W.C.P.W.......this is for you.
Call it karma. The two "skid marks" in the snow marked by the red arrows are where my feet slipped out from under me and I went down...hard. Nearly knocked myself out. But I'm all better now. Last edited by johnnywagon; 12-14-2007 at 08:03 AM. Reason: typo |

I've pretty much exhausted every angle of every poser-shot I can. So here's a couple different angles.
The Christmas rush is about to hit and I probably wont get a day off untill Christmas. Thats life in retail. See ya all next year?? |
