4X4 Action Pix
Seemed like a good time to start a new thread with some 4x4's in action. Here's me & mine at 7-mile off-road park in Spokane, Wa. on Halloween weekend. Hopefully more next weekend. Lets see some others too!

Randy, I knew someone would ask that. Its a broken aftermarket unit that NEVER worked. Thanks for the compliment. ~John

Re: 4X4 Action Pix
Good day for wheeling by the looks.
Great pics, like the yellow, it really stands out. Went out last week and found/played on a wicked muddy hill climb but we had no camera with us. |

Re: 4X4 Action Pix
Hit the off-road park 2 weeks in a row Here's a few shots from 11-6-06. I know some might look like poser shots but my 6 year old isnt too handy with the camera so occasionally I had to stop and get out to get these shots.

Re: 4X4 Action Pix
Got to go wheelin w/ Johnny @ the ORV park. Heck-of-a-nice guy. I got there late, but had fun wheelin. Forgot to flip my air cleaner lid & sucked in a bit of water, but fixed it & drove it home. Need to change the fluids of course & get out & do it some more! Thanks, John for getting me out there. Hope to do again soon.

Re: 4X4 Action Pix
Previous owner was a Bondo loving bodyman. Havent you ever seen an "EVROLET"? I have a large stick-on metal chevrolet tailgate emblem off a newer truck that is supposed to cover the old logo. Does anyone know how to get the thick sticky backing off of it without destroying it?

These are a couple of shots I took over the summer at Raglan, Ontario. We were talking with these guys afterwards and they told us they were "company cars".

Re: 4X4 Action Pix
he should have kept going till it said "rolet"
on the tailgate band-- the sticky crap comes off best with a razor blade or sometimes Acrysol will loosen up the stickyness and you can peel it off. i had to get it all off mine when this happened: |

Re: 4X4 Action Pix
How does that thing steer offroad without crossover steering? The few times I wheeled my 72 it was a real pain. Im springing for crossover before I see dirt again.

Re: 4X4 Action Pix
No crossover steering makes for some challenging situations, it is a constant struggle. I've been talking w/another member: "Critter" on the 69-72 Blazers/Jimmys forum section under the thread "6 Inch Lift" about what probs I have dealt with. My Dana 44 has the wrong knuckles for crossover so I'm gonna beat on it all winter to see if it holds up. Then I'll decide if I want to keep the Dana 44 and swap knuckles or try to find a Dana 60 before I do the crossover. Thanks for asking. ~John

NICE BLAZER! I need to get my truck back together and hit some trails. I have the same rear bumper on my 70.
