Re: Project "Nether~Storm" 72 swb
Well I got Some AWESOME News!
My dad is giving me a new motor! I wasn't quite sold on the BBC for my truck, but still wanted the power and drive-ability. So I was talking to him yesterday and he had built a 1970 Corvette HO 350 for his 68 that he had and ended up selling the Truck before installing the motor. The Beauty has been setting on a stand in his Garage waiting for a home... He asked if I would be interested... (hummm, Motor Built by my Dad... Great HP, ... Drive-Ability,... How can I turn that down!?!?!?) Yall give me your Opinion,... More Pic to come. Along with full Specs.

Re: Project "Nether~Storm" 72 swb
Nothing major to report, ....
But I got Pictures! First I do need ya'llz opinion. Red Or White? Oh and the Glove box door, ashtry, and Gauge pod are all being shipped to Pinstripe Chris to be (Artisticly) Painted... Im letting him Draw / Paint whatever he wants on them. Next, I have been Stripping Paint off my cab... OMG!!! There are at least 7 layers! It has never been stripped before and it has been painted a number of times. UGH! I figured I had better strip it to find out exactly what is under the top coats.... Unfortunately I have already found rust and a few dents. But nothing that can't be fixed. The worst of the rust... and some clean metal... and some more cleaned metal... kinda hard to see, but you get the picture.

Re: Project "Nether~Storm" 72 swb
Red or white? For me, guess it'd depend on the color scheme overall. But if you're asking 'red or white' - which cluster to use, I'd keep it year specific.

Re: Project "Nether~Storm" 72 swb
Well both clusters are 72, so I can use either and it be correct. The Interior will be viper red metal w/ black leather seats and console. But my gauge pod, ashtray, and glove box door are all being detailed by pinstripe Chris. Mostly white art, with hints of red on a black background.

Re: Project "Nether~Storm" 72 swb
And a new set of side windows, tinted. And a new set of fenders! He owns a body shop and he will be doing my body work. I'm gonna try to learn as much as I can during the process.
Also My Dad hooked me up with my first Christmas present this year! I'll let the pictures speak for them selves.... WOOHOO!!!! I also talked to my bud over in Japan and he is gonna hook me up by designing and building the insert for my Controller, kinda along these lines... I also rebuilt my steering column to the best of my abilty, well with the limited info I could find. still need some new bushings for it. but it turned out great.
