So I guess the color is gonna be alright? I hope that the clear doesn't make it darker, I want it to be as light as possible.

That looks great! I really like the graining of white oak. It will darken a touch with clear....if you want an idea of how dark and you won't be putting the poly on for a bit..get a spot wet.

Now that there is some good info. Thanks for the idea. I got some spar urethane clear and will be testing it out soon too. I will be brushing it on with light sanding between coats.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window

Doing a little fitment on the wood since the weather has been so bad. I am not able to cut but I can at least lay it out in the correct order and number it, and also get a good idea of what to expect when it's done. I used GMCPauls website for the measurements and width but for some reason it says (12 boards) and there should only be 10 boards.....go figure.

I bet that's it......and that is why we need Aggie's!!! HAHAHa The weather has been too crappy to even go to the garage and look at my truck much less work on it. Glad we got a small break from the rain today.

I am going to clear it with spar urethane and it may darken just a little, but that will fine.

I agree...they are gonna look killer!! The tire shop didn't have the front tires that I wanted so they are being put on order today. Should be able to have them mounted next Saturday with no bad luck. It is alot of work switchin those rims out so I'm just gonna wait till I have all four tires.....but I can't wait to see what they look like.
