What color for rear leaf springs?

As long as I have the bed off and am painting the rear frame, what color should the leaf springs be on my 72 Sierra Grande? Steel Grey? Black?

How about the rear diff... what color?

Thanks!

White truck. I realize I can paint it whatever color darn well suits me, but black springs and black frame and black diff make it look like I just shot everything black.

Oh yeah... I guess I did. The shocks and exhaust should brighten things up I guess.

Are you using any accent colors in the interior? You may want to go with that.

Do the frame and rearend in black and the springs in steel grey.It will give it some contrast and look like you thought about how to personalize it.I like some color coordination even on the frame. It seems to give a more finished appearance.JMHO

Yep, I agree... at least on mine.

But here's my .02 anyway.

If you intend to leave it at stock height and want it to be "showy", then I can see painting it other than black. People behind you will be able to see the undercarriage. But, if you're going to drop it, then it's a moot point. You'll have to get on your knees to see what color is down there...

I'm more interested in protection and to me black looks good.
