Re: ride ?
Not to be mean, But are you kidding me! You are comparing a old 1975 4x4 with a 4" lift to a newer SUV that is made for comfort with a possible air ride suspension. You are use to the Denali! Lifted trucks are stiff and you will feel every bump, pothole and crack in the road. Depending on the amount of lift, the higher you go the more road you'll feel. I the only way to improve your ride is go with a air suspension.

Re: ride ?
The "bouncy" part comes from the seat. The idea was to somewhat isolate the people from the stiffness of the suspension.....so you can get rid of the bouncy by changing to a later model seat, BUT, there is always a but.
If you do that you will feel every bump in the road, like you are driving a steam roller.

Re: ride ?
I agree with seat belts. It doesn`t take any modifications to off road a 4wd.it just sounds like you need to get used to what you have.
People ask me all the time: Q: Doesn`t that truck ride rough? A: Yes,and I love it.If I wanted smooth I`d drive a car.I can always air down. Q: Aren`t those tires noisy? A: Yes,and I love it.Why put street tires on a 4wd? Q: how does that thing handle? A: Like a 4wd.Especially off road.On exit ramps it handles like a Vette. Q: Don`t those tires ride rough? A: No,that would be the suspension`s job.I balance my tires and the extra sidewall provides extra cushion. Q: How`s that thing on the hiway? A: About like a car off road.

Re: ride ?
I have to ask people,"Why did you buy a 4wd with tires that will get you stuck???"
Or... "Why did you get a 4wd with higher gound clearance, then hang those tubes(steps,or whatever) off of it that kill your ground clearance?" i either want a 4wd that justifies itself or I`ll rely on my driving ability with a 2wd that`s more practicle for where we drive all the time...on the road.
