Steering Column | Steering shaft | HELP
I am swapping my steering column on my truck. The steering column that the truck came with was from a newer model with no tilt. Now that I'm swapping it, I have noticed that the connection from the column to the steering shaft is different. The one that was on there has a pressure connection type entry (Picture #2), and the one that I got a hold of is held by a bolt (Picture #1).
I need suggestions please. ((((HELP))))) 1. Do I need the correct steering shaft? 2. Can I change the steering shaft connection? Please advise, and please excuse my ignorance, I'm new at DIY Last edited by toninski; 09-10-2017 at 06:38 AM. |

Re: Steering Column | Steering shaft | HELP
The easiest way to work around that difference would be to get the lower shaft that matches up with the column you plan to use.

I hear you can use one from a Jeep, I'll have to research that. Thanks for the suggestion... Posted via Mobile Device Last edited by toninski; 09-10-2017 at 06:39 AM. |
