Old Subject-New Thread
So I was reading thru a bunch of old threads about what is the correct antenna for one of our trucks. Single mast or extended? And my radio is an AM only. Below is what is on my '69 and I'm sure it is NOT original, but most of the info I read on earlier threads was about '71-72 year.
The base on my antenna appears to be for an extended one so, would mine have originally been an extended one (without the spring function) or a single mast. Appreciate any info. Thanks |

The base looks original so I guess someone just put the spring mast on it. I think it should have the adjustable one on it but I'm no expert on antennas...... I will look closer at my '68 in the morning, it has the original antenna on it. LockDoc

A telescoping mast is correct for a '69. Here's a picture of the base and bottom of the mast that are original to my '69.
As Leon said, your base is correct. Last edited by FirstOwner69; 10-19-2019 at 09:22 PM. |
