WTB TH350 K case

I am looking for a K case for my cracked TH350. I don't need the insides, just the case. I'm in California, so that would be best, but if you are willing to ship, I am OK with that too.

Thank you,

I bought one as a core from Olympic 4x4 in Snohomish, WA. They charged the same price for a K case as a standard case. http://www.oly4x4.com/

You might check with your local transmission shops or 4x4 shops to see if they have one. I might have just got lucky. The transmission shop wanted $450 just for a case! Personally, I think he was smokin' something.

Also, check out the message boards on Pirate4x4.com and ColoradoK5.com

What is a "K case"? I have seen this mentioned a few times for both TH350's and 700r4 transmissions.

Is it just a case out of a 4WD or is it a heavier duty case that came in some 2WD's?

Thanks.

"K" case is a 4wd case. It has a huge "K" cast into the top side of the bell housing. I have heard some say they are thicker than the standard case, but others say they are the same. They do have a cast aluminum flywheel/dust cover.

Thanx for the places to look for a case. I'm not a fan of SC truck - but I'll give them a call. http://www.oly4x4.com/ didn't have anything available - no TH350's at all right now.

Litdave - I guess the case is heavy duty. The key, I have been told, is in the dust cover. It holds everything in place to withstand more tweaking when offroad.

Pirates board has a cracked one avaialble - maybe they aren't so strong afterall....
