Pic of my project

Just thought I would share a pic of my truck as it was the day I brought it home for $700. I have since removed the foglights, rack, mudflaps, and it now has a 5 lug power disc conversion. Presently 250-6 3 on tree, soon to be V8 Auto.

Thanks for the help posting pics guru.

Nice looking Professional Grade truck! What year model?

Looks better than my 68 did when I found it for $800.

HeavyD that is a pretty slick truck for 7bills.

I love slots too.I'd rather have those than the aluminum mods I have now.

Yep, 8 lug slots and they cleaned and polished up pretty well. Are they worth alot or something? Either way I like em. Thats one reason I wanna keep the 8 lugs but I wanna gear up the rear end, it's now 410. But thats another thread.

Working alone I layed a tape measure on the driveway next to the truck. Eyeballing the center on the rear axle hub and measuring to the center of the front spindle hub I got about 128" so I guess it's actually 133"??

Thanks for checking it out. It is a 1970 GMC 1500 model, coils in back, needs rockers, cab corners, floor work, but runs good enough to haul my junk around. I have rallys on it now and it looks much better. Will post new pic when I can borrow a digital camera again.

Here is a pic of my '68 GMC project truck, just to add it to the other pics of some fine looking GMC iron. BTW I paid $1500.00 Canadian (about $1200.00 U.S.) for mine.
