I'm trying to take the dash pad out of my truck so I can vinyl it but after taking out the 4 screws it still seems to be held in by something. I managed to pull it up far enough to see what looked like a rivet. Is there something i'm missing? Can someone give some tips on pulling it out? Also, I'm going to take off the gauge bezel and also cant get the nob for the lights to come off. were they glued on or am i missing something there too? Thanks for all your help.

light switch is held in bya teeny tiny button on the top of the switch. you pull the light switch out and push down a little spring button. If you're double jointed and have skinny arms you can bend yer arm up in there and feel the little spring thing. it's close to the guage panel, and only goes down a little bit. with it pushed, the shaft pulls right out. Have someone nearby in case you get stuck. As for teh pad, when I got my truck it was already out. not sure how many bolts, but to put it back I had to wiggle it a bit, taking the glove box liner out might help to access.

You haveto pull the dash bezel and the glovebox liner out,and pull the nuts off the bolts under the dash. There's 5-6 of them.THe ones in the corners are the hardest to get to.
