Longhorn Trans Mount
Has anyone with a longhorn ever used energy suspension trans. mount. If so did you use the 1/4 spacer also ( the original one that is). The reason I'm asking is my longhorn had 2 spacers. Thanks Tim

I have. I just slipped the tranny mount in there and called it a day.
Are you talking the spacers where the cross member mounts to the frame? Or are you talking a big block truck where the tranny is jacked up 1/4 inch? Either way, I'd keep the spacer myself. |

I'm talking about the spacer between the mount and the trans. My longhorn has 2 instead of 1. I was just curious if it was because of the taller frame. I normally don't put the 1 spacer back in on the 1/2 ton truck,because the poly mount usually has the plate with it. Thanks Tim.

My setup is a little different (6sp Richmond, on a custom crossmember)......its also been a while since I have seen the stock stuff! I run an energy susp/ poly mount on my truck, & my take is that it is a tick taller than the stock rubber mount. I would use the top strap furnished with the poly mount, & leave out any other spacer(if you feel that the height is ok). if I remember, that poly mount, with top strap, was about 1/4" taller than the stocker(mount only). best of luck,crazyL
