my brother has a '71 3/4 4x4 chevy. it has a 292 and 3 onthe tree with a 205 t-case. he wants to put a 350, th-350 in its place and needs to know what he needs to do ? are the spline counts different on a 3 speed and a th350. and would in bolt to the transfer case thank you for the help.

There is different spline count on the TH350 vs. the standard transfer case so you will want to find a matched trans and transfer case. Additionally, the 292 had a different cradle for the motor so you will need to find one of those too. Contact TEEITUP, he is a good source for this type of thing.
