The cast T-10 is the better of the bunch, the alluminum ones wernt do good they have a couple difforent gear ratio's available for them ,they made a T-10X a T-10Y and another one i cant remember right now,the T-10Y has the 2.88 first, the lowest (numirically higher) ratio then the rest, this is my favorite T-10,they also made a super T-10 which consisted of stronger parts,i have one in the garadge, you can find alot of hop up parts also for these.......

You can still buy brand new Super T-10s through Richmond. They are about $1300.

Could have been in an AMC!! Both my AMXs had/have T-10s. Send me the numbers from the shifter and I may be able to tell you what it was in. I have a lot of old Hurst info. If it was in an AMC it will not fit a Chevy. Can you get a picture of the shifter???

It is most likely to have come from a 2nd gen camaro, firebird or trans am (70.5-81). If you give me the #s I can probably look them up. They stuck them behind any engine from the 267ci-455ci. I have a Super T10 in my camaro. A T10 or ST10 is definatly tougher than a saginaw from a car.
