Ive got a couple of amps mounted behind the bench seat, mounted directly to the rear cab wall w/ sheet metal screws.. so far so good, been running them a couple years now.. in front of them is a box with two mtx 8" subs, sounds great. really happy w/ it.. i have an overhead little console thing with my head unit and all the wires run down the pillar trim and stuff so nothing is exposed... sorry i dont have any pics right now...

Pioneer DEH 3500 head unit, great HU. The exact same as the new 3600, except the 1-6 station buttons are rectangle on mine, not round as the 3600.
Pioneer TS6970R 3-way 6x9s, top of the line 3 ways.
For Xmas im getting another set of the same 6x9s and the Pioneer GM6000F 4way, 480 watt amp. Can't wait to get that stuff.

It all looks a lot better now, the wiring has been cleaned up and hidden so you cant see any of it. I am also running kick panels and 6*9"s in the door. Soon will swap the old jl 10w6 for a 10w7 and will also be adding another set of 6*9's in the cab corners.

C10-volvo-- what size and model are those mtx subs? I have some of that series (i forget if its 6K or 8K series) and they're 10", and I push about 800 watts to them and I dont think they can handle it, they have a slight rattle when turned way up. How do you like them? I have some older, lower series 8" subs that I run medium power to and they sound awesome, i love em.. just wondering what your experiences are with them..

I just bought a Sony CDX-F7700 Head unit and a Dual 12" sub box for my dual 12" subs and MTX amp. Haven't installed it yet, currently I just had a Sony CA600X head unit that is flaking out on me (reason I bought the new one) and I got a pair of Sony Xplod 6x9s in boxes behind the seat. I am wanting to replace the factory dash 3.5's with some good ones also and run entirely new speaker wire. I think i'm going to install the sub amp under the bench seat for the subs.

I can't wait to get the Sony in with the full-motion display, its gonna be sweet!

10'' 6000's i think they are rated for 250 watts rms each.
they are a good all around sub for the money. they are hooked up to a 300 watt harmon kardon amp. as of a month ago i blew them while they were hooked up to a 1000 watt kenwood amp. i threw the old amp back in and they sound alright when you dont have them blasting.

OT: today i built a center that will fit inbetween blazer buckets. it will hold the 10' infinity kappa perfect VQ's. im going this route because i would like to have my seats all the way back, and you cant mount any sub with a depth longer than 5 1/2 inches behind the seat. the infinity's are 9'' deep haha. if you have any more questions, just ask
