Will 73 Bench fit in 71?

I figure it should be the same length so should fit, but what about the mounting brackets? Would the 73 brackets work if relocated, or would the 71 brackets work on the 73 seat?

Any info is appreciated.

Thanks.

The 71 brackets will not bolt up to the seat frame, you'll have to fabricate some.

The 71 brackets will most definitely fit the 73 seat. The two rear bolt holes line up perfect, but you will have to do a little creative cutting and welding on the seat frame to extend the frame towards the center to make the new bolt holes in the front. I know this for a 100% fact because I did it and have the seat in my 68'. It is very easy, took maybe two hours total to complete, that's with taking the old one out and putting the finished new one in.
