Interesting EBAY auction

This auction is for a 1972 Chevy 4x4 that is clearly 2 wheel drive, even has 18 bids. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=5348

Interesting an original 402 truck with 4 wheel drive?? Looks like he lost the transfer case somewhere! Cab looks like it's 71 or earlier. Doors are 72 though. Still, a nice looking truck and I wouldn't mind a closer look.

That same guy had another auction selling a '68 GMC 4x4 dually before and it called it "...a cool ford that needs a new owner..."

Now, does this truck looke like a freakin' ford??

Maybe he needs to look at his descriptions before posting the ads.

Question EBay titles often misleading?

I was looking through eBay motors and saw a new intake manifold listed in the main title as new! I read further and it says looks like new on the inside?
A little misleading perhaps? Too bad there is not more honesty on the sellers part to be more accurate. I was ready to bid to buy untill I read the rest of info. New means new, at least to me. I wonder how long the 100% feedback
will last listing like this?

Sounds like a dealer selling his finds....

Imagine the high bidder gets it home to find it not as advertised...

MIKE, I agree new is new- I like looking a Ebay simply for a laugh at some ofthe descriptions and then the prices. Someone is selling NOS (still available from GM by the way) taillight bezels for 30 and higher depending on the bidder. They are $9.05 at the dealer with tax. Buyer beware I guess ??????

misleading descriptions reminds me of the fellow selling an antique 100 year old ax, said it had 2 new heads in it's lifetime and 8 new handles, but it was a 100 year old ax.

Yes, it's a real nice "looking" C20 but those hideous wheels gotta go.

The 100 yr. old axe is a good example of misleading info, real funny though (2 new heads)

the only thing that seems to bother me is that he looks like he repainted the dash in the truck, but why not take 10 extra minutes and fill the holes in the dash!
