i was just looking at ebay, and other pics of trucks and it seems like ive never seen a cheyenne unless its a 71 or 72... did they make 67-70 cheyennes?

just wondering.

1971 was the first year for the Cheyenne, before that it was the CST....

so "custom sport truck" is basicly a cheyenne from 67-70...

what made the cst, or cheyenne? just a pair of emblems on the sides, or did it have to have a special group of options?

I would actually say you have that backwards...a cheyenne is basicly a CST.

(CST was first)
Badges, bright trim, mouldings, headliner, insulation, carpet decorative scrolling on seats and the padded door panels...and other options.
The package did chainge a little here and there in the run...67 it included bucket seats...68 - 72 it did not. 69 - 72 included door operated light switches, and cargo light...67/68 didn't...ect.

Longhorn is right, the Cheyenne was a new name for the CST. It involved a trim package w/ wood grain and different seat treatment- the one offered as a reproduction is actually the pattern used on Cheyenne Trucks. Cigar lighter, dome light switches in the door, Cargo light ere part of the package, truck must also have custom comfort and conv. package, after that it was up for grabs as to what was on them- most were 350 or 400 CID engines. Just for the record early 71 cheyennes had the Z84 custom sport truck designation on the glove box-CST not cheyenne- they were not listed as Cheyenne packages at least on the glove box door until the later 71-early 72 models.
