what seats fit?

I have seen a bunch of people on the board put different type seats into our trucks. I was wondering what bench seat would fit our trucks, besides the factory? and would you have to remove the gas tank?
Thanks everyone

just got got one this weekend out of newer chevy early 90's bench seat with the thinner back and bottoms , with tank or without there isn't much difference with this style seat maybee a couple inches at most but will have to drill new holes and add support underneath cab. in stock holes not to bad either will post pic later today if you want.

i think you can put what ever you want into these things, lost wages has something like '00 cavalier seats in his, ?chevmall? has acura integra seats in his, a bunch of people have the 90's chevy bench seats in thiers, a few new chev seats with the intergated seat belts. nothing has to line up, you just drill holes in the floor and reinforce em underneath

I just finished installing a set of Chevy Suburban Second-Row 60/40's in mine. Tan leather. Had me scratching my head for 1/2 an hour, but got them figured out. They fit great and the bottoms still lift up for under-seat storage and the backs fold forward in case I need to get to the tank's sending unit. No pics yet, but will get some soon. They are about an inch or so higher than my former factory bench, but I like it.

I have a 2000 chevy 40/20/40 seat with shoulder harness made into the seat. The one I have folds down in the middle with some storage inside the center. I had to remove the tank but if you got the one without the fold down center section I don't think the tank would matter!

Dean23 - that's pretty much the same as the set that I just installed. They fit and ride nice, wish I had the fold down center seat though. Mine were out of an 02 silverado.

lol - they're actually in good shape. Paint on the other hand isn't. Looks good from far, but is far from good.

Nope didn't have too, but did have to drill new holes. The bottom seat cushions come off really easy and that helped alot.

early 90's chevy bench.the front holes was fine the rear holes had to be drilled and spaced up.im big and tall so i had 2 inches cut channeled out of frame to lower it.
the tank is there but would give alot more room
if it wasnt

the first one is in wife's69 shows the frame a little

the 2 is my 72 shows the cover i made to hide frame it just slips in

the 3 shows the seat in diamond tuch its supposed to have head rest but they havent been done yet
