can i get some production numbers please?

my dad just bought a 72 chevy lwb 3/4 ton 4x4 this past weekend. its got a 350 with a th350 tranny..dont know too much about it yet because it wont be home until wednesday afternoon...i was just wondering how many were made?

I don't know the 3/4 ton 4x4 lwb fleetside #'s but I'm pretty sure the 1/2 4x4 lwb fleetside #'s are 430 for '72 in Canada. Give's you a little bit of a ball park I suppose.

Is it a Canadian or American truck Derek? Those may be American production numbers that 9footfan posted...just for clarification.

9footfan-or anyother guys where do you get all these stats? it would be neat to go through all the years and models to find out whats rare and whats not

Derek, I found out the number's for 1972's 1/2 ton 4x4 lwb fleetside's from another (Canadian Truck) owner that purchased the "GM Resto-Package" that gives you the number of trucks produced with same model #'s for that year only. I also know the 1969 (Canadian Truck) number's (208 units) 1/2 ton 4x4 lwb fleetsides because of the package I recieved.

I would love to be able to figure out exactly how many trucks of each model number where produced (at least in Canada to satisfy my need to know) because I know they still prolly have all or close to all the info to maybe be able to do so.

It makes me wonder if GM would give me all that info for a set fee, rather than $50 a model number. That could get crazy exspensive fast. Well here's wishing

Oh, those number's I posted are for Chevy 1/2 4x4 lwb fleetsides. If you use the ratio of 1/3 of chevy production to figure out GMC figures...it would be interesting to note that production #'s for 1969 GMC 1/2 ton 4x4 lwb fleetsides could be around 70 units and '72 GMC 1/2 ton 4x4 lwb fleetside production could be 143-ish.
