Replacing trim
Am restoring a 70 swb chevy and have ordered the new trim fastners for the trim. For the life of me I cant figure out how to install the trim(lower wide trim). Is there any place I can go on the internet that will show me(pictures) how to do this. New here and hope I can get a lot of help here.

Welcome to the board from West Michigan!
Do you have the holes in your truck for mounting the trim or is that what you are needing to do? I only use trim clips with the studs on them so that the stud goes through the sheet metal and is held in place with a nut. Are your clips set up with studs or are they the glue on style? Jim |

First off, Welcome from Northern California!!!!
If you use the push on clips do a test fit before you drill any holes!!!! Clips that came with mine were 5/16". Holes I drilled were 3/8"!! Clips are installed in moulding by bending the leg back against itself and inserting in the molding. If you just pinch it with finger and thumb and let the sring tension hold it... You did it wrong.

Thanks guys. Most of mine will be the stud kind. Hopefully I will be able to get the nuts on most of them.
