How much is a NoSPIN worth? (possible WTB)
I'm not looking for one to buy just yet, but I am curious what's a good price for a unit in good shape.
I've seen anywhere from $150-500 on eBay, but have yet to see one at any of my local swap meets. However, if someone has one lying around, I'm not one to turn down a good deal.

I dont know, it depends. Most people just get rid of the eaton axles, but they have a lot of good things going for them. I paid $100 for a complete H052 with 4.57 gears and the locker.
Presently, they sell the 14 bolt detroit locker (which is the same thing, just has different side gears for the 30 spline axleshafts) for around $400. Whack that in half and I think thats a fair price for one of these units. You also have to remember, they dont make them for the eaton any more. Also, these older detroit lockers are actually stronger than the ones made today due to the change to the "soft" type locker that is less harsh.

I'm keeping my HO72, that's a given. I've grown to love the ugly SOB--especially since it stopped leaking.
Thanks for the input.

It also depends on whether they're set up for leafs springs or coil springs, that might bounce the price around.

I don't see how. I'm just wondering about the locker itself, not the rear end.

You could get the rear ends built three different ways from the factory:
Open diff. No-Spin Positrac I'd think if you have a No-Spin or a Positrac it would be worth some $$$ to the right person.

It's a detroit locker for the eaton rear axle. The max traction option was a dana/spicer power-loc.

I got a no spin 4.56 here for $100 but I don't want to ship it. I may be able to get it to Wisc or Minn. I got a couple members coming down next month. Thanks Randy
