67-72 Vintage Advertising...

I was wondering if some of you would post pics of stuff you have or have found pics of on the internet of our era of truck memorablia.

Recently this past weekend I found a few Vintage Ads at a tiny antique market. I also came across an old magazine with a chevy truck ad in it. I've basically just started my memorablia collection, but I know a few of you have quite large collections. I was wondering if you could share what you have found in your travels as to give me (and others) an idea of what's possibly out there to find.

Thanks,

BRIAN

I have a few things hung in the basement at *her* house. A 3 page Longhorn article from 72. a one page Longhorn article from 97-ish, 3 or three truck adds...one printed from here on photo paper...all these are framed of course.
You can find them on e-bay, but as some one pointed out to me once, you'll go broke looking for them there....go right to the source...buy old magizines by the bundle in yard sales and library basement sales...whet ever you don't want...YOU can sell on e-bay.

Thanks for the links Hutch and 68 50th. Question for you Ebay-er's what or how do you search ebay to find or look at this type of stuff? I have only been able to find the odd model but mostly toy trucks. Surely there has to be more stuff then that on there...?

Don't bother with Ebay, that will only make you broke fast. Some antique shops have ads already cut out of magazines that you can buy. Otherwise look for old Life magazines, I have gotten the majority of my ads out of them, they cost like $2 each at flea markets and garage sales. I have a few ads framed and hanging in my "truck/computer" room. I use the frameless glass frames from Walmart, they are the cheapest and nicest I have found.

At one point I had a couple hundred pictures of ads that I found on ebay saved on my computer, I think I lost them though

Gee Emm, on the ebay thing...I know it's prolly a big waste of money but I was still going to do as you did and save lots of pictures of ads for reference etc., and stick to trying to find old magazines at old antique shops or markets. I just wasn't having any luck searching for those items and was wondering if there were any tricks to finding that kinda memorablia on there.

These two pics were once side by side as part of the same ad. I wish I had these in poster size.
