BBC into a 72 2 WD?? Please help!

Hey guys we are into a engine swap and need some answers please?We are putting a 454 into a 72 2wd chevy and have the mounts and the 334601 towers but cant see how they are supposed to bolt up to the frame??Any done this,Les said he thought that you have to drill some holes to attach the towers,is this true and if you have any pics that would help us alot.Thanx guys..........James

the towers bolt in the front holes of the frame (1st set back from the fan shroud) You do not have to drill any holes for this. The top bolts go through the frame at the top and the bottem bolts the the cross member. This should be a direct bolt in for your truck unless you have the wrong mounts??? Do you have the 72 or do you have the 68-71 type- 72 use clam shells like 73-up but are flatter than 73. 71 down look very much like sb mounts but have larger hole for the mounts to bolt up.

No mods required, I did a little FAQ on big block mounts if you care to look.

Thanx for the pics tx.we are useing the 72 and dont have the frame stands....lol.Someone forgot to mention that we needed them...lol.Oh well i bet we can rig something up i hope.Thanx again man.
