grille ID help

hey guys, I went and looked at a truck today, and I am trying to figure out what year it is (owner wasnt home). its an 80's K30 crew cab dually.
I took a ton of pics but of course neglected to get one of the VIN # on the option sticker , and I just have the model # CK30943.
Here is a pic of the grille, what year or year range is it? thanks for the help

My 84 C30 crew cab dually used to like that, until I swap out the grill.

It's definately at least an 83. 81-82 models had turn signals in the bumper. 83-87 is most likely what you are looking at. There are lots of variations for headlight/turnsignal combos in these years. I'm sure somebody else can probably give you a more exact answer but this should get you started. Try 73-87.com also. They have a section dedicated to model year specifics. Good luck.

sweet guys, thats what I wanted to hear. I do believe its original, the owner is an elderly farmer. the truck actually looks nice in the pic I posted, looks like it has led a hard life of work in person.

Yeah, the 77-79 grills are my favorite. I like my 80 grill, too, cause its fairly unique (only year with that grill).

That may have been an option, it says single or dual headlights on the chart.

maybe its your trim level? the K30 I posted is just the base Custom Deluxe 30, with the camper special package.

Yeah you could get like, a blacked-out grill, a chrome grill, and maybe even the grey painted grill. But don't get me lying.

yes he is right i think the silverados of 83-87 all had double headlights with blinkers in grill
83,84 the center line of grill goes thru to headlight bezels
85-87 the center line of grille stops at the headlight bezel but was painted color of the truck

The center bar of the grill wasn't always body color on the lower level models.

I think the trucks with quad lights got the center body colored bar, the lower level trucks that had the blinkers under the lights (in the bezel and not in the grill) did not have the body color trim on the grill.
