CHEVY SHORTBED 4x4:
I hate to sell it, but I guess its gotta go. This was gonna be a long term project. It is a shortbed chevy 4x4. Its a rolling body. 12bolt rear, D44 front. It is pefect for california, it wont require smog as it is registerd as a 73 and cheap insurance because its registered as a 2wd. Here is the deal. Its a 1973 chevy 2wd cab, line-x'd inside. The cowl section has already been modified and fitted with a 1986 front clip, complete. it has power doors installed. Basically looks like an '86 chevy shortbed.
This truck is STRAIGHT and ZERO RUST. Bed, fenders, cab...everything is damn near perfect. I would be that you will almost NEVER find a truck as rust free and straight as this one. It is a SWEET project to start. It has a clear title. Have some extra parts to go with it. It does have a nice bench seat to go with it also. Parting it out will bring a nice price with all the nice sheetmetal, but I dont have the time and its too good of shape to seperate.
$1000

I have many more parts, so if you need something, I problaby have it. It sucks, but its time to clean out.

Would that T350 tranny work in an '81 K5 without mods? What shape is it in?

it will be a non-step chrome rear bumper.

Man, too bad you aren't closer to me, I could make a list from your list of parts I want hehe, but their all the big parts and shipping kills it.

If you are near a forward air, shipping really isnt too bad. Especially if you are buying a bunch of parts. Obviously not as cheap as if you were on THIS SIDE OF THE COUNTRY!! :p

I am not positive on that, you may want to ask around. If you have a TH350 now with the long shaft, then I dont see why it wouldnt work for you.
It was a runner when pulled!

Another member pretty much answered the question already. Its just plain..no black...all chrome.

EDIT:
Actually now that I think about it...I think its off of an '85....the 89 still had the black strip I think.

Does anyone have an idea what shipping the rolling body from Cali to Indy might run? Do you have any pictures of the body? Does it include the glass, wiring, underhood stuff, or interior?

Dave Check with a company called fleet car out of Tulsa, OK. They just got the contrct to ship Ford Explorers from the Hazlewood Mo plant and haul customer cars for a back haul. Also pick up a copy of Hemmings Motor news they have a lot of small hauling companies and see who might be looking for a back haul. You might check with Ligon-Landstar flatbed div. see if they have anything rolling this way. Cheap freight pays more than no freight.
