What radiator would be best for a daily driver with the following?:
350 cu in
Tuned port injection
700R4 tranny
373 rear gears
Vintage Air
Oh yeah, I almost forgot.... A lot of highway driving in Texas

I would prefer a 4 core if I had the choice. My 307's 3 core never cooled too well on our 100 degree days. I'm sure it could have used some work, but still, might as well go with a 4 core if you are replacing one.

Most local shops have 4 cores for under or around 150. ya have to change the little dealies they sit on.

I never had an overheating problem with my oem 3-row, and we get over 100* here, and rarely to 110*+. But it went bad recently, and I got a 4-row from Radiator.com. It fit the existing mounting pads just fine... My only beef was I had to trim the shroud (minor) because the heater hose nipple was too close to the core...

1-800-max-cool is where i bought my copper 4 row. However a late model camaro alum. radiator (up to 96) will fit but you'll have to move the mounting brackets (3row brackets)

Not to get on anyones post, but I need to see the radiator hose connections for one of those Camaro radiators. I have an LT1 and it has become a pain in the backside as far as the hookup is concerned. With the four core chevy truck radiator. The inlet by the T is only 1 1/4 inches and the bottom radiator connection is 1 3/4 inches. So I have a standoff made of metal that is two differnet sizes. so to speak that is 1 1/2 inches and the other end is 1 3/4 inches. Hope that makes sense. What I am getting at where is the connection on the passenger side (right) and is it on the bottom of the radiator? Thanks, Kerry

I have used radiatorbarn.com several times with great luck. I'd use a 4 row just because you can and they aren't that much more.

the pass side rad hose on my 95 firebird LT1 is on the bottom, and drivers is on top. If I understand you right you have to adapt from 1-1/2 to 1-3/4. I'm not sure how the 67-72 rad. will work with the LT1 reverse flow. What about the small (about 3/8 to 1/2 in.) radiator return hose coming off the intake manifold? I'm assuming you're using a '90's engine. If that's the case, I think I'd use a impala or f-body rad.

Got my new 4 row for the 71 at autozone. Paid more than radiator.com, but was probably the same stuff from Mexico. Real good radiator though. Never have had it overheat up here in blazing WA. hehe. Jeff.
