Question about dipsticks.......

oil dipsticks that is-currently on my truck there is a really short in length chrome dipstick-its some kind of cheap aftermarket one.personally i dont like it and i think its too short to read the oil level most of the time-like when my truck is parked at an angle or incline for example.im wondering if the factory dipsticks are longer and if so can i get on for any small block chevy.my engine is a crate motor which has been rebuilt with about 6000 miles on it so it better not be burning oil otherwise i will be pissed.anyway does anyone have any insight they can provide into this and some pics to if ya got em.thanks in advance.
