Joy Joy! Finally finishing up the truck this weekend!!
Finally, this weekend will be good enough weather to get the final touches done to the truck (Before paint). I'm going to take it over to my friend who's painting it, and we're going to put the Fuel Cell on, the Custom Classic RollPan, and also finish shaving things (Stock Gas Cap, all the trim holes, possibly handles/mirrors)
So, by monday, my gas gauge should finally work (and not bounce!) and the back of my truck will look "finished" with the rollpan on it. |

My friend said he would have to notch a crossmember on my frame, in order to clear the sending unit. He just did a similar install, on a friend of mine's 75 C10 stepside. I told him that only stepsides have those crossmembers, for the wood of the bed to bolt onto. Fleetsides have the crossmembers attached to the bed, in a slightly different location. I told him the entire install shouldn't take more than an hour. Hardest part being actually getting to the bolts that hold the bed on. |

Just noticed that the sending unit BARELY clears the bed crossmember! Also, the fuel cell hangs REALLY low!! I thought when I got the roll pan on it, and lisence plate on, it would hide it..HELL NO!! Now people will know my secret
