Thumbs up Great Time @ Winfield

Went to the Winfield,Ks Car/Truck Show Sunday the 23rd and had a really good time. Met three local members in this area, barn9, Yukon Jack, and Blazerboy. All are great to visit with and talk trucks, cars and other subjects. Tossed back a few cold ones, looked at some really fine representations of American Iron and Muscle, and enjoyed the burn-out contest. Also had a slow drag contest which Yukon Jack couldn't resist entering. Blazerboy made a fine show with his daily driver work truck, (Bowitie powered of course) and we all had a great time. Makes me even more anxious to get my truck back on the road. Should be within next couple weeks. Hope, hope, hope

Talking

You don't need no steeeeennnking rubber!! Look on the bright side Jason, at least you had enough left to make it home. How did you like the ride in that little topless blazer? Did you tell that guy about the board? We all gotta get together again, that was a fun day. Cya, LB.

Don't tell me Jason got to ride in that Blazer. If so, I'm jealous, I would really like to see how that 454 motivated it.

As far as getting together again - Barn9 will let us know when the Ark City event is in mid-September and maybe we can all make that along with some other members. Would be fun!

Ironhorse - nothing like a car show to get you re-motivated to finish a project. For those who don't know, Ironhorse is doing some major reconstruction and rebuilding of a 4x. The pics he showed me show a lot of work that he has done. Will be a sweet ride and he says its just going to be his work truck - ought to be one darn nice work truck when he's done!

I figured that would make ya'll envious of my massive 307 powered rig. That thing makes so much darn power I'm thinking about tubbing the rear end and dropping some massive slicks on it. Wait, I've got a flat bed and a lift, I'll just lift it some more and then slap them slicks on it. Wait, I've got a 4x, I'll slap some slicks on the front end also, that ought to do the trick. Maybe I could water down my gas to try to get the power down on my massive 307, that might work to.

With that said, anybody want to buy my powerhouse 307 so I can get a little, less powerful engine like say a 383?
