Differance between -
What is the differance between small block and 6cyl motor mount stands???
is there? or is it just the placement on the front end? will small block mounts bolt into a 6cly crossmember without drilling holes? I see a couple of guys on here that have a small block on the 6cly mounts...does it raise the motor up or just put it a little further back ??? I just don't want it up in the air (i saw a truck recently and the motor looked way to high up in the engine bay and i couldn't figure out why) Thanks, Andy

the stands are different.... the sb is mounted (from the factory) , 3 1/2" farther ahead than it would be if mounted on the I6 /250 stands. As far as I can see, after 3 swaps(sb on i 6 stands), i see no diff in height. as far as swapping the stands, the same front crossmember will accept either set of stands.....crazyL
