You can bolt a saginaw 4spd ,or M 20/21 muncie to the bell. Pilot hole size will be different. On the saginaw trans, you can use the front bearing retainer/throw out collar from a sag 3 spd. On the Muncie, you can have a ring made to press over the OD of the bearing retainer,or use a 67 or earlier bell for proper center hole size. You can also use the M22,& Borg T 10,but may have to change the clutch(spline count). You will need the drive shaft from a 3 spd stick,or a 350 T auto truck,& whatever you choose to use for a shifter. the bottom trans to bell bolts will go through from the inside, & have to have a nut..........69 longhorn

anytihng can be done, just depends on how bad you want to do it, IE how much headache you like to enjoy

try and get a 4 speed with 10 spline input to save a little bit of headache, most of the headache wil be from the driveshaft fab work unless you find a 3 speed manual(Sm318) or th350 67-72 truck with same engine as yours has in same location with same engine trees- for parts,
dont trash that ch465 tranny though! damn good tranny

good luck
