Front bump stops on lowered trucks
What are you guys doing with your front rubber bumpstops with lowered springs?
I have early classic 2 1/2 spindle with 1 1/2 drop spring. Will trimming the bump stops down for more travel cause bump steer??? Thanks for the help. |

I just put in a set of energy suspension bump stops that are a little bit shorter and I have almost the exact set up as you. Works great.

Trim them if you'd like or remove them completely. I've done both ways.
Bumpsteer is caused by improper geometry in the suspension, it has nothing to do with the bump stops. It's caused by the relationship between the steering linkage and the suspension components being altered (or improper to start with).

I removed mine and grinded the metal mounts off as well.
