12 bolt posi in east TN
Works great, very solid. Took it out of truck that I bought. Gear didnt match front diff. It is a 2:73, but it can be changed, and since I'll let this go CHEAP, you'll have alot less in it than your buddy that spent a small fortune on his! Asking a hunderd bucks, or best offer... try me! I need to get this thing outta the way before the wife takes this perfectly good locker to the scrap yard! I can email all the pics ya want, just ask!
Thanks!

yes, it will work in a 2wd. As a matter of fact, I put 2wd axles in it. The diff I swapped with came out of a 2wd, so I kept my axles, and put the 2wd axles in this diff.

Not sure what year truck it rolled off the assembly line, but it was on my 80 model when I bought it. From the looks of the gears and the clutches, I would say a bit later than an 80, probably mid 80's, but not too sure.

Im interested.
Is it a real posi with clutches, or is it a gov lock type. Do you have any pics of it with the cover off. Thank You.

I'm not familiar with the gov lock, but it DOES have clutches. No pics right now, but I can snap a couple and email em to ya if you'd like.

gov locs have clutches as well, but their on the side instead of in the middler of the carrier. And a gov-loc will have a little gear and lots of things that spin when you turn the axles.
