350 Engine Parts for Sale

We are putting an LS1 into my son's 70 GMC shortbed, so we have engine parts for sale: (we have already sold the Vortec heads and manifold)

350 short block: This is a virgin short block with 150,000 original miles. I know because my ex-father-in-law bought the truck new in 1970. It's a 4 bolt main block that has only had the heads off, nothing else has been touched. $300 (my son has someone else interested, but he hasn't come through yet)

Original Rochester QJET Carb: Original that was rebuilt a few years ago and has been sitting in my storage room. Excellent shape: $100

Edlebrock 1901 QJET Carb: Bought this brand new a few years ago. Excellent shape: $200

HEI Distributor with spark plug wires: Bought this HEI about 2 years ago and put new spark plug wires on it a year ago. $100

Accessory Mounts: Have the complete set-up, A/C mount was modified to fit headers $100

Misc Accy's: Waterpump, 6 months old: $25; Alternator, Autozone rebuilt, 2 years old: $25; Harmonic Balancer, bought new less than a year ago: $35

Sanderson Hot Rod Coated Headers: Bought these from Early Classic last Christmas. They are in great shape. They are coated with Airborne (just like Jet Hot) and are mid length. You can see them at EarlyClassic.Com. $250

700R4: Doesn't work, not sure what's wrong, spitting fluid out. $100

All of these prices do not include shipping. I will charge actual cost of shipping plus the cost of a box if required.

Thanks,
Glenn

I would be interested in just the A/C bracket if youre willing to separate.

Spark plug heat shields? Specifically, passenger side rear.

We had headers, don't think we kept the spark plug shields.

The A/C bracket is not perfect. We cut the back part to fit the intake manifold and replaced the rear part with the sheet metal part that fits with headers. I'll have to dig around to see if I have the rest.

Thanks,
Glenn

Headers

Interested in the headers, how long did you run them?
2wd or 4x4 headers?
What kind of shape are they in? Any pics? I know you said to see them on EC's site but I'd prefer to see the shape yours are in prior to purchase. Thanks.

The last time I saw the headers, they looked great. I'll get my son to send me some photos and I'll send them to you. The headers were on a 2wd, I would think they would fit on a 4x4. These are mid length, not long tubes.

Thanks,
Glenn

The headers look great, I think they were only actually run for a few months - the transmission blew back in July. I'll clean the fingerprints and grease smudges off and take some fresh pictures tomorrow.

The shortblock is a 3970010 casting, with a TBB suffix code on the passenger side - which codes out to exactly what it is, a 1970 four-bolt main truck engine originally installed with a three-speed manual. No rod knock or anything of the sort; it could even be used as-is in a pinch with some cleaning and a new oil pan gasket. It was using a quart every 1000mi or so, and most of that ended up on the outside of the engine by way of blowby and the 35-year-old oilpan gasket.

Sorry, never got photos of the headers and they've been sold to the person that bought the heads off this board.

Still have a couple of really nice QJets for sale and a virgin (never bored) 4 bolt main shortblock. The shortblock has never been apart. It has 150,000 miles and I know it's never been apart because my ex father-in-law bought this truck new in 1970.

Thanks,
Glenn
