Thats crazy money for an oil filter, However Im very leary about people that hide the identities of their bidders, and I have noticed that their items always tend to be a whole lot higher than those auctions who you can see who the bidders are.Has anyone else noticed that.

I do understand that there are people out there that will spend a good chunk of change to get something that is NOS. I would also for the right product, even over spend if I really want it badly enough.
Now here is what I don't understand. A FRIGGIN OIL FILTER!!! that's something that you can get just about anywhere ranging from $3.50 to $6. One of the oil filter's is over $125 right now.
NOS (supposedly), I understand, but for something that your gonna toss after 3000 miles is just plain crazy. That is just my opinion of course.
Maybe somebody can explain the logic on this one

The logic? Easy
If you do a 100% correct restoration...a concours deal, you'd be pretty low in the IQ scale to put any miles on it (IMO). After spending $150,000 to $200,000 on a truck that is only worth $25,000 at the very most, you probably wouldn't drive it either.

Damn! That's crazy.
Makes me think about a filter I found in my garage. It's a AC but it's metallic bluish/purple and it's a Andy Granatelli signature series. Says on the box if fits Camaros and Chevelles, etc. up to 1971. I just kept it around cause I thought it was cool. I may have to put it on Ebay just to see what happens!

Unless they are doing a show truck for competition and you want EVERYTHING to be factory stock and correct.

I just question how well the paper element is in it after all these years.
