Blue Dot Installation
Has anyone one installed or have any pics of our trucks with blue dots installed? If so what does it take to install them? I saw an article that a 15/16" hole has to be drilled into the lens but I have yet to find a drill bit that size. Thanks guys

You can use a 7/8 bit and file the hole to the size you need.
Make sure you get the dot's in the right place. Get behind he truck and have someone step on the brake and make a mark on the lenses where you can see the bright spot of the bulb. Also when you mount the trim ring, twist the tabs. If you bend them over you will be able to see them through the lenses at night. One more thing. The people at the inspection station are kinda pissy about blue dots. So are the DPS! They are illegal here in Texas. But that never stopped me. Maybe carry a spare set of lenses with you just in case.

I had some years ago and i used a 3/4" gasket hole punch and heated it up with my burnz-o-matic torch and melted the holes in my lens then gave them a light fileing with a 1/2 round fine file just be carefull not to use to much heat.
And like 7T7 said twist the tabs about a 1/4 turn to hold the blue dot in . Good luck |

7t7 is correct. It is "very" important to make sure the dot is centered over the light bulb and not just centered in the lense....
