clutch linkage question

I changed the engine in my 72 1-ton to and 84 350 block.the two holes in the block that the pivot ball mounts to are not on the 84 block. any ideas on how to mount it?

No answer here, just find it interesting that the holes aren't there...my last two small blocks were from 86 and 87, and they both had the holes there.

I've run into this before.

There should be bosses where the holes are supposed to be. Drill and tap the holes into the blank bosses. It's cast iron, it taps super easy.

Dubie didn't have the tapped boss either. He made a bracket. Ask him for the pics.
