help with tilt column

I have a 78 k-10 with a tilt column, it has some dlop in it(dosen't lock tight) is there a way to adjust it without rebuilding the whole column?

You just need to pull it apart and see if everything is in good order or worn out alot of times they just lossen up and you can retighted with a small anoumt of locktite. You do not have to replace everything just the bad parts all in all it only takes an hour to take it all apart and reassemble it.

No, unfortunately....

Just take your time, and get creative when you work on it and you'll be able to do it yourself. Be sure to remember how everything came apart. You'll need a torx socket (I juse used a 15 mm I think...) a puller for some pin things (I used a bar with a screw that threaded in and popped them out by prying against a thick screwdriver) a steering wheel puller, locktite, and a couple of screwdrivers / sockets. The objective is to take those torx bolts out, put some locktite on them, and thread them back on.

So long as you watch how it all came apart, you can probally get it back together I'm sure someone will post the picture filled tutorial soon...
