what does everybody think about spraying in bed - liner in the blazer? and does anybody have any pics of what it looks like?

I'll going to do the inside of mine with rhino, called a local shop and they quoted me a price of $600.00 bucks. pics later

You can't beat it when the top comes off... I did a few coats of the DIY roll in liner. I got so sick of dust clouds and stuff getting in my eye with carpeting...

Hey, if you are gonna pay $600, don't forget they can color it for you and UV protect it! That would be sweet if you rhino lined in red to compliment a red interior!

My floor will be done also, my blazer has rear side panels, so just the floor here.

I had mine done by a place called Permatech, color matched and UV protected for $600 from firewall back and I love it. No more cleaning out the carpet, just wash it down. Also helped with sound deadening. I'll post some pics next week when I get back home.

Here's mine, got'r done myself with ZOlotone...only a quart! So it's pretty thin, can really use another coat at some point... Hasnt chipped to bad on me to date, and that's after helping my folks move there house(**** in it) 10 miles down the road....Talk about over-loading. My roll bar is painted in the etch primer used between the metal and liner. OH yea it's SUPER dusty in the pic, but i just park on a hill and hose it all down!

1970Blazin lined her's before putting in carpet and padding. I've seen several others done too. Just don't line over the bed rails. I've seen one truck done that way and it looked terrible with the top on!

The stuff is great, untill you got to fix some damaged sheet metal then it's a pain. But over all it's worth it.

I used the duplicolor and it suck's as far as I am concerned next time I would go with the $$$ spray on liner hippo liner work's pretty good from what I have heard also..

How durable are the liners? Can you throw in a bunch of shovels and tools and not scratch off the liner?

I've got Rhino liner in my service truck at work and it is EXTREMELY durable. I've thrown all kinds of different crap in the bed and haven't so much as nicked the stuff. It's 3 years old and still looks new. In fact, I've actually put dents in the bed floor by dumping debris in it from a bobcat and not even scratched the liner. On the other hand, we have some trucks that used Permaliner and they don't seem to be holding up as well. They are even newer by a year or 2 than the truck I drive and are showing some wear,nicks,and fading.
That's my experience with spray-ons in a nutshell

eastwood has a new do it your self kit you can tint it with any laquer or enamel based paint. and the kit is only like 200$ thats what i plan to use

We are doing ours with Gator Guard II. You can buy it at paint shops. We sprayed the bottom and are getting ready to do the inside. We are going to do from the firewall back except for the transmission hump We want to be able to remove it and think it would be kind of a pain to get off if it were coated with the rest of the floor. May do it later. You can look at how the bottom turned out in the pictures at the site below.
