Unhappy I Miss My Truck (Blazer)

Every year with the onset of winter, I put the blazer away into storage.
Every year I get a little melancholy about doing it but this year seems worse.
This is the first time I've put it away since it's been restored, it was the best summer to date, having it all shined up and everything the way it should be.
Anyway, just some thoughts and a couple pics untill I get to drive/enjoy my blazer again in the spring.
I'm sure I can't be the only one that get's bummed when sending the old iron into winter's slumber...

I wish I had a garage that big to put my blazer in. My '72 might fit in the garage (haven't tried because it is so full of cr@p), but I will have to take some air out of the tires to get my '69 in without the top on!

You got a very nice truck there, it is good to keep it that way!

Hey I got an idea!! Bring it down south (Tenn.) and I will keep it run in for you so it will be ready to go in the spring. (Hurry as I am holding my breath).

I don't think I could do that to my self...... As mine is a daily driver but when I start to restore it I may have to find a hideing spot for it too.

one word. SWEET! Not the fact you can't drive it, the rig itself. I would be a little down also if somebody told me I couldn't bring it to the beach anymore.

I feel your pain. This wet/winter/salt syndrom get`s me every year.If it were up to me(notice ring),I`d move somewhere dry,or at least salt-free(she"says"she`d like that). The ol`viscious cycle:Clear the roads so the economy can keep rollin`so we can afford new vehicles before the old one rusts-out,so we can pay the taxes`cause it costs millions to clear the roads,&insurance is expensive because no one slows down in bad weather so they crash going to work to pay their bills, and that gray scum on the windshield from the morning commute is glaring as the sun sinks low and they don`t have the time or money to buy $5.00 sunglasses`cause they`re so busy workin`to pay for the car,taxes,insurance...yes,I have issues...The garage is my sanctuary in winter.

I would say you should feel worse if you drive it in those nasty winter conditions there. Damn nice K5 I sometimes wish mine had gone the way yours did...

Yeah mine is in the garage but it not the issue of salt and winter. It is just I just can't bring myself to put the hard top back on. It has so much attitude with it off putting the fiberglass on is like punishing it.
Though it might make a trip down to houston for a bowl game(crossing fingers)

Mine are all off the salty roads. The hibernation sucks. I can't wait for spring.

Heck I wish mine just look that good just sitting in the garage. I would spend the winter hibernating in the garage with it.
